We are seeking a talented Communications professional to shape our public relations strategy, strengthen media relationships, and amplify our brand’s presence. Responsibilities: 

• Develop and execute communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Monitor and adapt communication plans based on emerging trends, issues, and opportunities.
• Ensure all public facing Strive content aligns with the company’s mission and messaging/brand guidelines.
• Work closely with Strive’s CEO and other approved Strive spokespeople to strategically build their thought leadership profiles.
• Create an organized roadmap for public appearances and speaking opportunities that amplify the company’s key objectives.
• Collaborate across Strive divisions to integrate communication efforts into broader marketing and business strategies.
• Coordinate and support the creation of compelling content, including social media posts, blog posts, op-eds, presentation material, infographics, videos, etc.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
• Develop and execute media engagement strategies to secure high-impact coverage and features.
• Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other relevant materials.
• Monitor media coverage and track industry trends, providing insights to internal teams.
• Identify and establish partnerships with relevant industry associations, nonprofits, and organizations - find mutually beneficial opportunities to collaborate and leverage networks.
• Manage communication partner/vendor relationships as needed.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
• Strategic thinker who loves coming up with creative ideas and can develop and execute on plans quickly.
• Familiarity with the finance industry and a passion for Strive’s mission.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen and quick eye for detail.
• Experience with the art of rapid response, speaking on and off the record with reporters, and shaping challenging stories.
• Proven ability to build and maintain media relationships.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep both short and long term projects on track.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and varying priorities to maintain alignment on strategy and communications.
• Flexible availability when needed to tackle high priority opportunities and challenges that arise.
• Willingness to relocate to Columbus, OH
